Types of Computer networking :

There are mainly 3types of networking.

  • LAN -(Local Area Network)
  • MAN -(Metropolitan Area Network)
  • WAN -(Wide Area Network)

There are some similarities and dissimilarities between them.

LAN- Local Area Network

MAN- Metropolitan Area Network

A metropolitan area network (MAN) is a computer network that interconnects users with computer resources in a geographic region of the size of a metropolitan area.Metropolitan area Network covers a larger area than that of a LAN and smaller area as compared to WAN. It connects two or more computers that are apart but resides in the same or different cities.

WAN- Wide Area Network

A wide area network is a telecommunications network that extends over a large geographic area for the primary purpose of computer networking. Wide area networks are often established with leased telecommunication circuits.
